  • Lysis of Adhesions
  1. You may not eat ANY FOOD after midnight the night before your procedure.
  2. You may have CLEAR liquids, such as black coffee, tea, water, soda or apple juice (no citrus juices or milk) until 3 hours prior to scheduled arrival time. Do not have ANYTHING, including water, after that time.
  3. If you have any kind of sedation, you will not be allowed to drive for 24 hours after your procedure. You will need a driver and must make arrangements for a responsible adult companion to take you home from the surgery center.
  4. Please bring your insurance card or worker's compensation information with you to the surgical center.
  5. Medications:
    1. You may take your morning dose of any heart of blood pressure medications.
    2. Coumadin, Plavix, or other anti-coagulants (blood thinners) should be discontinued 4 days prior to your procedure. Please contact your cardiologist or primary care doctor with any questions regarding these medications.
    3. If you take insulin, please contact your primary care doctor for instructions. Please bring your insulin along with you.
    4. If you use an inhaler, please bring it with you.
